Dr. Christy Alfano was born and raised in Orlando, FL, and completed her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Central Florida. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Following graduation, she pursued a residency in Pediatrics and Vision Therapy through Pacific University in Portland, OR.
An active and engaged member of the optometric community, Dr. Alfano currently serves as the President of the Southwest Society of Optometric Physicians of Washington. She is also a member of the American Optometric Association and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. In 2024, she was honoured with the Robyn Cameron Memorial Award, which recognises a new member's outstanding contributions and dedication to the Optometric Physicians of Washington (OPW).
Dr. Alfano has clinical interests in dry eye disease, myopia management, pediatric optometry, and functional visual development. Outside the clinic, she enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest, traveling with her husband, and spending time with their dog, Winnie.
